Bit of a reminder for us People called Humans.
I have often said that I am a citizen of the world. Of course, we all
are citizens of our own country. Society has divided the planet into zones and tells people who can and can’t go where.
But whatever country you call yours, you can be a citizen of the world.
Being a citizen of the world means that you put humanity above local boosterism. It means you respect people for being people, not for being from your country. It means caring for the planet, not just for your backyard, your neighborhood and your country.
If you don’t think of yourself as a citizen of the world, just remember – you are one anyway.
