Word of the Day

GALUMPH [\guh-LUHM(P)F\] , intransitive verb:
1. To move in a clumsy manner or with a heavy tread.

My Sentence:

The boys were snooping over the fence to watch girls wearing bikinis. They were caught in the act by the Police and carefully galumphed away to hide.

Origin:

Galumph is probably an alteration of gallop. It was coined by Lewis Carroll in the nonsense poem "Jabberwocky."
